Herman Miller's Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their career. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
As a Creative Direction Intern, you will support the Chief Creative Officer and Brand Creative Directors in design research, design reporting, and creative development.

Inside the Job
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering reports of competitors, design authors, and marketplace and design movements
- Developing and presenting seasonal trend reports
- Supporting Brand Creative Directors in the building of ongoing and seasonal brand direction
- Gaining on-the-job work experience aligned with your career goals.
What You Bring
Needed skills and experience for this role include:
- Enrollment in and pursuit of a four-year Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the areas of Interior Design, Architecture, Graphic Design, or any other Creative related relevant specialization.
- A link to an online portfolio site in your resume or the ability to share design files upon request.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Platform and basic skills in any other design programs.
- You need a GPA of at least a 3.0 (cumulative or within your program) to qualify for consideration and able to provide transcripts upon request
- Favorable academic standing within your current academic program
- Authorization to work in the United States.
