Production Shift Coordinator – Days or midnights
This job will work 8 to 12 hours per day, 5 or more days per week. This is an hourly paid position and requires a lot of flexibility.
Position Summary: Responsible for the facilitation and coordination of every day production and shift management under the direction of the operations manager
Responsibilities of Position:
- Supervises, coordinates, and reviews the work of all assigned staff.
- Evaluates and makes recommendations regarding methods and procedures in assigned area.
- Acts as a liaison with other departments.
- Prepares written reports concerning assigned aspect of work.
- Manages day-to-day departmental operation, assigns people to the appropriate jobs, authorizes overtime and controls cost.
- Performs any assignments given by Operations Manager.
- Must be capable of making sound decisions and set job priorities.
- Set machine and maintenance repair priorities.
- Assure good housekeeping practices are being followed.
- Assure production requirements are met, including logging information as required.
- Perform daily audits.
- Responsible for supervision of indirect personnel in the absence of their department supervisor, usually on afternoon and midnight shifts.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Working knowledge of IATF, SPC and MSA.

- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Associates or higher
- Familiarity with computerized office systems and PC software
Physical Demands:
- Standing, walking, sitting for extended periods of time, bending, reaching and climbing stairs
- Speak clearly, oral communication and hearing conversation
Working Conditions:
- Works inside within an automotive components manufacturing office setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.
- Noise: some above 85dcb with vibration
- Frequently work alone and more than 40 hours
Protective Equipment Required
- Eye and hearing protection a must
- Steel toe shoes
