Description
Essential Functions
- Daily cleaning of employee lunchroom and restrooms
- Cleaning of all other areas on an as-needed basis
- Handle and properly use cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Properly use steam / hot water system
- Properly use product and material-handling pumps
- Provide back-up to various plant positions as needed
- Other tasks as assigned
Competencies and Certifications Required
- Internal GMP/HACCP/SQF Training
- Excellent communication skills
- Trained and knowledgeable in the use of PPE (personal protective equipment)
- Must pass respiratory fitness test
Physical Demands of Job
The employee must be able to perform the physical demands listed below to perform this specific job functions:
- Frequent standing and walking
- Occasional climbing, bending, stooping, reaching overhead, and twisting
- Occasional lifting and/or pushing/pulling up to 30 pounds
Work Environment
The work environments listed here are representative of those that may be encountered by employee while performing the functions of this job:
- Wet or humid conditions
- Extreme temperatures
- Exposure to brine (sulfur dioxide)
- Exposure to bleach (calcium chloride)
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals
