This full time (32 hours) position will examine, clean and polish teeth, note conditions that are suspicious of decay, disease and deviations from normal oral health. If certified, they may administer local anesthetics, take impressions of teeth, give fluoride treatments, apply sealants, and take X-rays.
QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree in Dental Hygiene and licensure as a dental hygienist in good standing in the State of Michigan minimum; one year full time experience in the practice of dental hygiene preferred. Knowledge of dental prophylactic services to prevent and control dental disease and decay, such as cleaning patient’s teeth, application of sealants, application of fluoride; advise patients on proper dental hygiene and nutrition. Good judgment and decision making abilities, good hand/eye coordination and precision manual dexterity to move small objects, visual acuity noting details in color/shape, ability to work with people and as a team member, ability to calm nervous patients, good listening and communication skills. Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol and Background checks.
