DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tenneco,Inc. is looking for a Co-op Student for our Ignition Application Engineeringdepartment that will be responsible for supporting current customer testing andprojects, as well as actively participating in efforts to improve our futureproduct roadmap. This position will be based out of our research facility andwill require coordination with offsite locations, including manufacturingplants, on product design and development efforts.
Anideal candidate for this position is a candidate who is in pursuit of aBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, capable ofefficiently completing assigned tasks and effectively communicating withmultifunctional team members.

RESPONSIBILITIESAbility to stay focused to achieve desired results

Basic knowledge of statistics, CAE, and other analysismethods
Develop a working knowledge of Ignition components andsystems
Prepare tests requests, evaluate test results, and publishfinal test reports
Assist in root cause analysis of EQT (End of Test) or fieldreturned parts
Lead project to benchmark competitive landscape
Assist in the implementation of new designs
Work with manufacturing plants to optimize design proposalsfor manufacturability
Provide support for advanced engineering projects
Potential for regional travel as required to support fieldtesting and plant visits
Work closely with the sales team, coordinating customertesting and understanding of market needs
Capable of providing support as requested by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION
Must be enrolled in a B.S. degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
TIME
Student should be available for a full-time work commitment during the Summer 2021 semester (40 hours/week) during standard business hours.
