GENERAL SUMMARY:
Scheduling of patients, confirm boarding and cancellation of patients; make and retrieve patient phone calls;maintain interdepartmental communication with patients, physician offices,ancillary services and within department; other support services including butnot limited to obtaining insurance authorizations, activating patient visits,supply management, and daily input of charges.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1.Screening of patients before boarding.
2.Boarding patients.
3.Management of all aspects of scheduletemplates.
4.Inter-hospital communication regardingclients of pain management.
5.Other assigned secretarial duties.
6.Management of patient records (both electronicand paper, including scanning).
7.Delivery of excellent customer servicein every aspect of the job.
STANDARDQUALIFICATIONS
A. Education/ Training:
- High school diploma required
B. WorkExperience:
2years preferred
C. Certification,Licensure, Registration:
BLScertification required
D. OtherQualifications:
- Maintain privacy, confidentiality and dignity of patients
- Strong word processing/computer skills
- Experienced in Epic preferred
- Knowledgeable in medical terminology
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Strong ability to prioritize workload
- Provide patients with clear explanations and information regarding care and treatment
- Excellent customer service
