Description The Vice President of Global Sales Operations provides oversight and direction to Global Sales Operations team, drives corporate initiatives to continually improve sales processes, and develops a vision and strategy for Global Sales Operations teams. You will be globally responsible for the delivery of sales compensation design and administration; contracts, pricing and revenue analytics/optimization; and sales performance analysis and reporting. You'll work with Field Sales leadership to develop winning strategies relative to pricing and margin. You will create and maintain customer contracts, as well as the administration and compliance of contracts direct with Herman Miller. You'll lead sales transformation efforts to improve and align our capabilities, processes, products, and insights in more powerful ways to best serve our customers globally. You'll also keep a watchful eye on dealer credit history, scores, and outlook in order to monitor dealer health and manage Herman Miller A/R performance within prescribed metrics.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Contracts and pricing strategy support to Field Sales leadership
- Contracts, pricing, and revenue analytics/optimization
- Dealer credit worthiness review
- Identifying opportunities to consolidate work and potentially building a team in IBU India to support
- Market, account, and buyer segmentation analytics
- Sales compensation design and administration
- Sales enabling technologies and support: Salesforce.com CRM, Sales tech support
- Sales performance analysis and reporting
- Sales process development
- Salesforce design - roles and structure per direction from Sales leadership
- Understanding and mapping our global processes and determining a transition plan, working collaboratively with colleagues across Finance, Legal, and other departments
What You Bring
Needed skills and experience for this role include:
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field of study or equivalent professional experience
- 10-15 years of management experience in the commercial contract furniture industry, preferably in Sales Operations, Field Sales, or a key sales support role
- Ability to build and lead a culturally aware Global Sales Operations team
- Expert understanding of the contract furniture industry sales process, dealer operations, and customer dynamics
- Exceptional communication, change management, process improvement, and team leadership skills and experience
- Demonstrated leadership competence as defined in Herman Miller's Leadership Skills and Behaviors
- Highly developed overall business acumen (e.g., cross-functional and/or general management experience)
- Strong strategic and planning skills and proven decision-making skills
- Excellent coaching, mentoring, and people development skills
- Excellent program/project management skills as demonstrated through the successful achievement of assigned objectives
