Summary of Position: | Teach design courses such as visual literacy, graphic design theory and current technologies. The candidate must be able to teach multiple subject areas within a graphic design curriculum. responsibilities include holding office hours, utilizing face-to-face, blended and/or online modes of delivery; assuring/improving learning through assessment, close consultation with program faculty, as well as training via the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning. This is a pooled position, One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. | |

Required Education: | MA, MFA, MS, MDes, DMBA, MBA or Master''s degree in design or closely related field. | |
Required Work Experience: | MA, MFA, MS, MDes, DMBA, MBA or Master''s degree in design or closely-related field and evidence of contemporary industry practice within the last 5 years is required. If degree is in related field or master''s degree with less than 18 credit hours, 3+ years of contemporary design industry experience in the last 8 years is required. | |

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: | Minimum of 3 years of professional communication design and art direction experience; mastery of technology tools that meet the demands of the current professional design practice; strong interpersonal and communication skills. | |
