About the Job
Responsible for the operational activities of the clinic, nursing care of patients, and support of all aspects of patient flow in clinic setting. The Clinical Lead oversees medical assistants, nursing staff, students and volunteers in day-to-day operations ensuring compliance and high quality of care. This role leads, coaches, mentors and instructs clinical staff through provision of onboarding orientation and continual/ongoing training. This Clinical Lead promotes effective utilization and monitoring of health care resources, leads/directs team members to achieve optimal clinical and resource outcomes, and carries the overall responsibility for establishing nursing procedures as well as processing necessary triage, patient education, and referrals according to accepted nursing protocols.

Compensation
LPN: $20.45 - $24.42/hour
RN: $26.00 - $31.57/hour
Description of Duties/Responsibilities
Staff Nurse –LPN/RN
- Assures compliance with appropriate regulations including HIPPA, CLIA and OSHA
- Performs clinical nurse triage and appropriately documents patient interactions
- Acts as a resource for patients, staff and providers
- Initiates, maintains and follows-up transitional care visits
- Handles urgent patient requests in a timely manner
- Utilizes nursing skills to assess and handle tasks as assigned
- Initiates appropriate nursing interventions and diagnostics
- Participates in peer review and support
- Actively assists with maintaining triage protocols
- Collaborates with providers to offer comprehensive care
- Assists and provides coverage for clinical lead as needed
- Serves as a mentor and resource for clinical support staff
- Helps orientate and train new staff nurses
- Conduct one-on-one or family patient education sessions
- Perform Medicare Wellness Visits
- Maintain a physical work environment and culture that is responsive to employee and patient safety
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Clinical Lead
- Develops/implements nursing protocols as applicable
- Participates in recruiting and hiring candidates for clinical roles (Interviews and maintains clinical employee positions)
- Responsible for training, scheduling, oversight, and direction of clinical support staff, students and volunteers
- Ensure that employee’s performance reviews are completed in a timely manner
- Engages in corrective action plans/discipline for employees
- Oversees and supports staff performing telephone triage
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Position Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited RN or LPN training program
- Current RN or LPN licensure in the State of Michigan
- Two or more years’ experience of leadership in medical office or similar setting
- Current BLS certification

- Ability to handle patient and organizational information in a confidential manner
- Ability to demonstrate competency with a standard desktop and Windows-based computer system, including a basic understanding of e-mail, internet and computer navigation
- Ability to use other software as required to perform the essential functions of the job
