Position Description: Responsible for static, dynamic DESIGN, and analysis of mechanical systems, equipment and packages. Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified DESIGNs. Provides DESIGN information to drafting for packaging documentation. Skills Required: High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult. Understanding of engineering theory and principles of DESIGN. Effective oral and written communications skills. High level of interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work independently and with others. General interest in product DESIGN, particularly automotive. Familiarity with basic machine types.
Experience Required: 3 - 5 years of relevant experience.
Education Required: College degree with a major in engineering. Training in college level theoretical and applied mechanics, vibrations, fluid dynamics, physics, metallurgy, electricity, thermodynamics, heat transfer and techniques. Training in computer applications.
