Commercial Loan Processor III
The Commercial Loan Processor III is responsible for the set-up, maintenance, and processing functions associated with commercial loans. The processor must analyze each request to determine the intent of the request and the completeness an accuracy of the supporting documentation required to complete the transaction. The processor funds and coordinates the activities on new commitments and existing obligations for commercial loans.
Position Responsibilities:
- Analyze Immediate Handlings, funding and advance requests for the proper format and completeness of information, to identify and determine the required documentation needed.
- Verify supporting documentation received meets Comerica's credit policy, GFT Wire Policy and LTS processing standards.
- Post financial transactions related to funding, advances, payments, payment reversals, holdover GL tickets, renewals, and fees. Using AFS, DEALS, ComericaBusiness Connect, and PEGA systems and set up New Libor Loans in AFS.
- Manage repricing, rate index changes, conversions, and other miscellaneous transactions and the accuracy and collection of unused commitment fees.
- Updates to Letters of Credit and collateral; and input and validation of address changes.
- Act as a liaison between group managers, relationship managers, loans closing officers, loan boarding representatives, lenders, department managers, lending assistants, administrative staff, and other various colleagues.
- Provide support to Participation Bought Loan Analysts, Specialized Loan Analysts and Treasury Management.
- Collaborate to resolve discrepancies.
- Engage to obtain supporting documentation.
- Review past loan activity to determine root cause of discrepancies.
- Apply proper transactional corrections.
- Respond to audit requests.
Position Qualifications:
- Associate degree in accounting or 2 years of relevant work experience in reconcilement or balancing
- 3 years of bank, financial services or office environment or military equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in loan servicing
- 2 years of experience with telephone and face to face customer service
- 2 years of experience working with processing and spreadsheet software
