At Genisys Credit Union, we value our employees who are essential toour ongoing growth and success as a financial institution of choice. We are currently seeking motivated candidates for a Full Time Mortgage Post-Closer position at our Home Office in Auburn Hills, MI.
Position Purpose:
Handles all functions after closing to ensure loans are processed, mortgages are recorded and documents
sent to secondary market investors for sale of loans. This includes both Home Equity and First Mortgage
residential loans.
Job Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Performs quality control on closing packages received from title companies.
- Assists accounting with balancing the mortgage ledger.
- Set-up all closed mortgage files with Midwest.
- Assists members with payment and escrow questions after closing.
- Order and update payoff letters as needed.
- Request insurance and tax information.
- Assists Mortgage Closer to verify all closing and funding conditions are met and schedule closings.
- Receive home equity packets from other branch locations for loan assembly, processing the insurance, document recording and HMDA input.
- Assist members both in-person and via phone to quote interest rates, solve payment problems, give verbal payoffs, answer questions on mortgage and home equity products, update the member on the status of application, process referrals and accept applications.
- Maintain timeliness and prompt turn-around time.
- Answers questions and assists Mortgages personnel with questions that may arise after loan closings.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to become and remain 100% bonded.
- Product Certification.
- General knowledge of mortgage loan services and procedures.
- Knowledge of related requirements, procedures, and underwriting criteria.
- Basic understanding of accounting.
- Two to four years of related experience and/or training.

- Ability to work under tight deadlines to meet commitment dates
- Good organizational skills and attentive to detail.
- Good communication abilities.
- Cooperative and works well with others.
- Able to use computer related applications and basic business equipment.
- Good math skills.
