Will you answer* GROUP/DIVISION With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA s metrology and inspection products, is looking for forward-thinking research scientists, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers to join our team and enable the movement towards advanced chip design. Central Engineering is KLA's largest engineering organization comprised of several Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling & Automation, Precision Motion Control, Sensors & Image Acquisition, Platform Design, and Packaging Engineering, among others. Our group includes over 700 engineers across global centers in Israel, China, India, and the US. Each CoE contributes not just talent and deliverables toward product programs, but also domain expertise, roadmaps, specialized facilities, apparatus, models, and analytics. These differentiate KLA not only in WHAT we do, but also in HOW we do it. RESPONSIBILITIES KLA is looking for an Electrical Engineering Manager in our Central Engineering Group in Ann Arbor. The Electrical Engineering Manager will lead a group of electrical design engineers, responsible for creating, designing, detailing, and testing new concepts, designs and technologies for the next generation of KLA tools. In this role successful candidates will be responsible for: * Manage resource allocations, schedules and project budgets * Create training plans for development of team members * Lead design of components and sub-systems for various electronic sub-systems of KLA tools * Work with suppliers worldwide to develop complex and cost effective, reliable solution for next generation electronic sub-systems * Understand and drive system, sub-system and interface requirements * Propose and lead feasibility studies and proof of concepts * Lead analysis, such as circuit, timing, thermal/cooling, DC/DC power design, electrical loads * Guide engineering team in high-speed analog and digital circuit designs * Lead electronics subsystem integration and system-level testing * Guide the development of new features to continuously improve existing products * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, supply chain organizations, etc. and lead system-level discussions including impact on overall system performance QUALIFICATIONS * Experience designing board level RF/analog and digital circuits * Expertise in electrical circuit design (analog/RF design, highspeed digital design, signal/power integrity, etc.) * Expert with instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc. * Experience of Spice and EM (electromagnetic) simulation and lab correlation * Experience with schematic capture and board layout tools including Orcad & Cadence Allegro * Track record of data analysis through scientific software packages MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Doctorate (Academic) with at least 1 years of experience.ORMaster's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experience.ORBachelor's Level Degree with at least 3 years of experience.
