The Intermediate Application and Infrastructure Specialist provides technical and project support for plant IT applications, LAN equipment infrastructure, and daily activities for the IT Complex. The Specialist will give Level 1 support of corporate IT sponsored applications, change management processes, incident management, and problem resolution while meeting the objectives of the manufacturing environment and minimizing lost production due to IT related issues. This includes a functional knowledge of all plant IT supported applications, the ability to troubleshoot IT related system and LAN related issues, and manage and/or configure application and application access for end user support.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 1 year of application support experience, including troubleshooting/root cause analysis
- Knowledge of Windows systems and architectures, LAN networks, and servers
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to hold themselves and others accountable in restoring services and reducing incidents
- Strong knowledge of requirements gathering techniques
- Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn complex business problems
- Able to collaborate in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to interact with business partners to understand and implement information technology based solutions
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Experience with Windows automation languages (Powershell, VBscript, WMI, etc.)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of ITIL change management systems and processes
