DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The new Tenneco has formed from the combination of Tenneco Clean Air and Federal-Mogul Powertrain, bringing together more than a century of innovation to serve light vehicle, commercial truck, off-highway and large engine OE customers worldwide. By building more efficient, more powerful and more sophisticated powertrain systems, Tenneco's engineered solutions improve fuel economy and power output, and reduce criteria pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions for gasoline, diesel and electrified powertrains.
We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager for our Greenville, Michigan plant to contribute to our Powertrain - Bearings business unit. In this role, you will responsible for improving the profitability of the operation by the continual identification and elimination of waste, using the processes and tools of the Tenneco Bearings Production System (TBPS) leading to outstanding levels of service and satisfaction to our customers. Our top candidate will be degreed and have at least seven years of experience in lean manufacturing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Drives and supports implementation of continuous improvement activities throughout the plant.
- Leads site pre-analysis that includes base-lining operational and financial measurements.
- Continuously challenges conventional thinking, drives accountability for site or functional results and deployment, and sustains the internal CI system.
- Teaches continuous improvement thinking, by both leading and coaching others to lead Kaizen events daily.
- Serves as change agent and key mentor/improvement coach for Team Leaders.
- Identifies and shares best practices from inside and outside of the plant with other plants within the group and with other Business Units.
- Coordinates and assists Kaizen and problem solving teams in the definition of continuous improvement or problem solving project planning concerning scope, time, quality, budget, milestones, allocation of resources, etc.
- Participates in the development of specifications for new equipment to comply with Lean FMOS principles.
REQUIREMENTS:QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's year degree in Engineering or Business or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Quality Engineering and Lean Manufacturing.
- Experience in a Tier 1 automotive supplier environment preferred.
