Essential Function of Job:
The Facilities Assistant provides routine maintenance and custodial services to EightCAP, Inc. facilities. The Facilities Assistant may be assigned to one or multiple facilities and may be required to travel to the various locations. The position may require assisting in moving centers and offices to other sites.
Examples of Work: (Any one position may not include all the duties listed nor do the listed examples include all tasks which may be found in the positions of this class.)
- Cleans the facility, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, window washing, stripping and waxing of tile floors and rest room maintenance.
- Painting interior and exterior walls and items.
- Replace lights and clean remove insects from fixtures as needed.
- Ordering and inventory control of supplies needed to maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the building(s).
- Clean heating and cooling vents.
- Lawn maintenance.
- Move furniture and other office equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Follow the schedule established for custodial work by supervisor.
Requirements of Work:
- Dependability and Punctuality
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently.
- Communicate regularly with supervisor.
- Ability to lift/move heavy equipment up to 75 pounds, work in dirty environments, climb ladders, and follow safety protocols.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Valid Drivers’ License and a satisfactory driving record review.
- A satisfactory review of Criminal History Check.
Desirable Minimum Training and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous janitorial experience.
- Nominal maintenance experience and mechanical ability.
