Corporate Applications & Technology Consultant Services DirectorIn this critical role with AlixPartners’ Corporate Applications, Delivery, and Data team, you will have global responsibility for the strategy, execution and support of our consultants and initiatives for the global BIC (Business Intelligence Center) team. This position is the liaison between the Information Technology function and the consulting communities and BIC organization, with a scope focused on productivity tools, enterprise applications, systems, and process workflows used by our consultants internally from beginning to end of the engagement lifecycle, but does not include technology solutions unique to specific client engagements .
The Corporate Applications & Technology Consultant Services Director is full-time role reporting to the CIO with a dotted line to the Head of Corporate Applications, Delivery and Data with a preferred location of Southfield, MI and the ability to travel 25%. Paid relocation is not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversight of project management initiatives impacting TRS, EI, FAS, and Digital consulting spaces (as well as for the BIC function), related to application, infrastructure, data, or information security rollouts; will estimate, resource-plan, schedule, and budget for projects that deliver value to customers, may include hands on project management on occasion
- Represents the function as a whole; will lead or participate in discussions with the Board and/or Management Committee members, influencing at the highest levels in the organization; routinely communicate at partner leadership level.
- Lead or participate in significant cross-functional work and serve as liaison between corporate services functions for operational and other related technology improvements and seamless, efficient, and easy experiences by the consultant communities.
Deliver corporate-technology value to consulting communities and those supporting the communities
- Lead the development of strategic plans, roadmaps, business cases and prioritization of consulting system initiatives and tasks with appropriate consultant representatives or consultants
- Support CISO, Head of Infrastructure, CIO, Head of Corporate Applications and BRMs in planning and execution of change management for seamless rollouts
- Lead portfolio planning, estimate project effort (size, duration, complexity, resource needs, budget, and duration), developing annual portfolio plan and estimates for each initiative (effort and dollars); support the cross prioritization of initiatives across functions
- Represent business area(s) to technology at all levels of governance (sustain, projects, programs, multi-functional initiatives, etc.)
- Partner and contribute to decisions on evaluation of vendors and development of new systems requirements; manage vendors providing technology services and systems that can specifically support, solve problems, or advance the cause of the business-area represented; build and maintain technology acumen
- Run sustain/support of corporate-technology systems related to consultants
Perform similar duties on behalf of BIC, including:
- Build strategic business relationships with BIC function leaders in order to gain insight and knowledge of key business processes and advise on technology solutions.
- Collaborate on development of strategic plans, roadmaps, business cases and prioritization of Marketing system initiatives and tasks.
- Additional responsibilities as identified.
Qualifications/Requirements:- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Information Systems or a related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Experience managing at least a $1MM+ budget
- Experience leading teams of more than 5-10 direct staff, experience interfacing with more than 5 departments simultaneously
- Minimum 10 years’ experience overall; at least 5 years in Project Management, Program Management, Portfolio Management, Business Relationship Management and/or Business Analysis.
- Experience in infrastructure design and deployment and demonstrated understanding of information security capabilities, strongly preferred
- Experience in an established consulting firm as a consultant is strongly desired
- Certification in Program Management, such as a PMP, preferred.
- Certification or membership in Business Relationship Management or Business Analysis network, organization, or another community-minded group, preferred.
- Process and detail oriented with ability to grasp the big picture. The ideal candidate will be a creative and innovative, demonstrating a track record of collaboration.
- Good facility with general MS Office tools and Project Management tools.

- Must work primarily out of the Southfield office. Travel up to 25%, including international, may be required.
- Ability to work full time in both an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the work day.
