The Operations Manager - Central Utilities is responsible for:
The effective daily leadership and administration of the Utilities, Field Instrumentation and Field Mechanics teams. The effective daily leadership and administration of the Trestle distribution team, pipefitters and electrical distribution/engineering teams. The effective daily leadership and administration of the Ammonia/Brine system. Operational management with the objective of safely, efficiently, and effectively operating all utilities operations, machinery and electronic monitoring systems in a cost-effective manner. Effective day to day management of the EAMS systems and documented completion of PM, Demand aging and critical PMs.
Provide accountability, supervision, manage and administer engineers and maintenance staff including hiring, training, administration and personal development.
Assist in managing all operational aspects of the physical plant/utilities and reporting under the leadership of the JLL Site Lead.
Provide senior technical support and leadership in solving day to day problems - mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.
Manage, document and escalate daily field operational issues as appropriate to site leadership.
Present daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to the SLT and off-site support teams as needed.
Identify safety hazards within the utilities operations and incorporate the remediation of such hazards to ensure that the campus building's staff and occupants work in a safe environment.
Implement, administer, and manage the safety training programs including an aggressive lock/out, tag/out program.
Assist in managing the operations audit processes.
Ensure that compliance of all regulatory laws and guidelines are met as they relate to the operation of the plant's infrastructure. Responsible for alerting management of operations discrepancies.
Maintain all infrastructure and compliance documentation for the building including up-to-date building drawings and single line diagrams as well as documentation mandated for the purpose of maintaining regulatory compliance with Federal, State or Local law.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
10+ years' experience in chemical plant operations, including ammonia/brine cooling including supervisory, managerial, maintenance process and compliance experience.
Leadership: Builds, shapes and communicates the firm's values and culture; demonstrates integrity, personal responsibility, initiative and the ability to energize, persuade or influence others; fosters creativity, innovation, and teamwork. Willing to take appropriate level of risk.
Proven record of excellent internal and external articulate communication to all levels of personnel, management and SLTs.

Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally (verbal and written).
Universal CFC certification desired.
Knowledgeable of HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, plumbing systems, and electrical systems engineering and operation.
Working knowledge of computer applications including spreadsheets, word processing and CMMS systems.
Building Management
Monitor operation and maintain refrigeration, chilled water cooling and boilers, heating, ventilating and hot water equipment, pumps, valves, piping and filters and other mechanical and electrical equipment. Review digital logs as necessary to assure proper operation of equipment; responsible for reporting any problems/malfunctions on an as need basis. Perform preventive tasks when required. Oversee repair and preventative maintenance of distribution systems; determine frequency of repair and/or preventative maintenance for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
Ensure the availability of an adequate inventory of tools and other supplies to operate the building. Specific duties include but are not limited to: preparing and submitting purchase orders requests, developing sources for stock materials and performing periodic checks of inventory levels and equipment conditions.
Responsible for overseeing the activities of contractors working within the building.
