Position overview: The Team Coordinator (T.C.) position provides general supervision, leadership, and guidance to Manufacturing Associates, and is responsible for maintaining good employee relations, discipline and safety. The T.C. is responsible for ensuring that customer requirements concerning quality and production are met.
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Provide staffing, training, communication and development of subordinates
- Manage associate performance, issue resolution and general maintenance of plant harmony
- Administer safety and disaster preparedness
- Maintain product quality and department cleanliness
- Coordinate production of product
Other duties and responsibilities:
- Conduct annual employee performance evaluations
- Prepare document revisions
- Conduct meeting facilitation and/or new hire orientation
- Conduct various audits, BBS, 5S
- Provide assistance to technical auditors
- Operate various equipment
Education/experience:
- Required: Associate’s Degree or equivalent.

Work experience: With an Associate’s Degree and 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, 1 year of which is in a supervisory capacity—or—
-
A Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of supervisory experience –or—
-
Completion of Team Coordinator-in—Training program and 5 years of increasingly responsible positions in a manufacturing environment

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Production Management, or Engineering
Other skills/abilities:
- Knowledge of anti-lock braking systems (ABS) products, components, and Quality Systems – strongly preferred
- Strong analytical, problem solving, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Knowledge of Theory of Constraints and buffer management
- Understanding of and the ability to apply the TS16949 standard
- Computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-Mail
