Description
Engineering Solutions has an exciting opportunities for Production Operations Management (POM)/Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Project Leads. The POM/MES Project Lead works as part of a globally-distributed team of ES Process Automation professionals and has responsibility for the implementation of hardware and software solutions to address client project needs in the area of the ISA-95 Level 3 requirements of an integrated automation solution.
Project Lead Responsibilities:
- Working with business / plant stakeholders to define project requirements.
- Identifying and deploying Most Effective Technology (MET) solution components to meet the project's requirements.
- Execution of projects following the Dow project work processes (Global Project Methodology, Process Automation Work Process Discipline, and Project Delivery Methodology (PDM)).
- Working in partnership with the Dow Information Systems (I/S) and IBM organization for server and network hardware and systems.
- Working with ES Technology Center / Manufacturing Operating Systems (MOS) product development to become and remain knowledgeable on new product capabilities and offerings.
- Accountability for project cost and schedule and resolution of technical issues.
- Maximizing value of a given project by minimizing investment capital and operating cost and maximizing asset utilization and product quality.
- Achieving the optimum Front End Loading (FEL) index.
- Creating value for businesses by applying Process Automation core capabilities to optimize existing processes / technologies.
- Minimizing project cycle time by efficient use of resources, effective communication and innovative approaches
- Customer satisfaction via effective implementation of the business objectives.
These positions could be located in either Plaquemine, LA, Freeport, TX or Midland, MI.

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Five (5) or more years of experience in process automation or MES is preferred.
- Knowledge of ISA-95 standard is preferred.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in project execution / management is required.
- Experience with Aspentech IP.21 or similar product suite is required.
- Knowledge of computer programming and databases (especially Aspen Tech Query Language – SQLPlus and Visual Basic Programming – VBA) is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor of Science is required.
- Industrial Engineering or Computer Science or other technical degree is required..
- Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. - based position is the ability to work legally in the United States on a permanent basis (U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident or qualifying Asylee / Refugee).
