Summary: This position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks assigned by the production supervisor by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Assists other individuals and departments with tasks, where assigned.
• Prepares furnaces for the painting process.
• Builds small parts and assemblies as required.
• Cuts structural steel as needed.
• Constructs wooden skids for outgoing shipments.
• Reads technical drawings, reports and work instructions to complete tasks as required.
• Assists in maintaining a clean working environment, which includes the outside break area.
• Assists with breaking down unwanted skids and disposing of them properly.
• Participates in cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design and quality problems and to ensure continuous improvement of processes and methods.
• Comply with all housekeeping procedures, quality standards and safety regulations.
• Complete special projects as needed.
• All other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience: High school degree required and previous work experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Additional Skills Required: Must be motivated and highly organized and be a team player with a positive attitude.
