Who You Are
You have: * Bachelor s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field. * Five or more years of experience with ISO standards and quality management systems. * A thorough knowledge of Lean principles and practices and established manufacturing procedures. * Strong leadership and project management skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Courage & Innovation Bravely innovate without boundaries. What You ll Do
As a Quality Manager, you ll be part of our Infrastructure team located in Dexter, MI. Specifically, you ll: * Oversee ISO 9001:2008 standards for all departments, to include standards of work, value streams, and certifications. * Lead lean manufacturing initiatives, to include RPN reduction, improving equipment capability, breaking bottlenecks identified by Industrial Engineering, and improving equipment uptime. * Monitor and evaluate Rapid Improvement Project events and A3 s related to capacity management, plant layout, ergonomics, etc. * Lead all factory departments in the development of work standards for each area. * Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods. * Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization. * Evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards. * Lead the development of the Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA)/Control Plan. * Develop processes (e.g. use tool X to install part Y) and Process Flow Diagram (PFD). * Complete risk analysis for the organization. * Ownership of CAD layouts, cycle times (production lines, material flow routes, etc.), work balancing (direct and indirect), and ergonomics. * Analyze work center standards and plan work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow. * Design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. * Confer with Manufacturing and Engineering staff concerning product design, tooling and fixtures to ensure efficient production methods. * Completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual audits, and associated reporting as required. * Manage controlled documents, such as the assembly process change document. * Perform other duties as assigned.
