Eisenhower Center is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to provide billing and collections services at our residential rehabilitation facility serving adults with acquired brain injury, behavioral health issues, and developmental disabilities. Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma or General Education Degree
Must have at least 5 years of experience in Medical Billing/Coding and Collections
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Excellent attendance and communication skills
Must have extensive knowledge of facility and professional billing requirements and practices of various insurance carriers including but not limited to: auto no-fault, workers compensations, private health, and others such as Veterans Choice/Community Care, Tricare, Medicare, Medicaid and CMH.
Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Exceptional attention to detail
Experience with Answers On Demand/Matrix billing software preferred
Duties and Responsibilities
Calculate charges, compose bills, and send to multiple insurance carriers
Processing of accounts receivables
Contact health insurance carriers for verification of benefits
Interpret the explanation of benefits and follow-up on all outstanding balances
Communicate with insurance companies, adjusters, and other externals
Track all collection attempts and consistently follow-up on active cases
Daily filing and data entry
Ability to understand contract terms to produce monthly invoices and collect payment
Provide weekly, monthly and annual reports to management
Produce monthly bills in a timely manner and audit for accuracy
Conduct other tasks as needed or assigned
