This is an individual contributor role.
Responsible for supporting the AmeriPath/Quest practices by attaining sales targets
The Director is responsible for supporting the commercial software business by attaining sales targets.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Identify, qualify, and close business opportunities
2. Manage demonstrations, presentations and site visits.
3. Improve personal industry and product knowledge and report changing.
4. Manage time and resources effectively to meet territory sales objectives.
5. Maintain sales and account contact records and report activity to management.
6. Conduct contract negotiations.
7. Manage key decision makers through the entire acquisition process.
8. This job description is not intended to be all inclusive and the employee will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and other management as required.
Minimum Requirements:
* 5+ year's successful healthcare information systems sales experience to hospital/ION industry (HIS, Radiology, PACS and/or Document Management and Imaging experience is a plus).
* Familiarity with enterprise software in a healthcare environment (EMR/EHR, ECM and ERP systems)
* BS in IT related field preferred or relevant experience
* Prior sales and customer relationship management experience
* Familiarity with enterprise software in a healthcare environment (EMR/EHR, ECM and ERP systems)
* Familiarity with typical data center hardware, platforms and IT strategies
* Proficient in the use of Excel and other MS Office applications
* Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
* May require up to 40% travel
