Job Summary
The Operations Processor position is crucial to timely and accurate application, monitoring, and balancing of repayments to Warehouse Lines of Credit. The position involves interacting with Troy Funding personnel to monitor Flagstar purchases, transmission of batches, populating purchase amounts to the Warloc database, investigating differences, and balancing Warloc data to Mortrac batch lists. Receives and applies wire and other payments in Warloc (includes matching with investor purchase advises), balancing to supporting wire and other information. Responsible for preparing and distributing daily reports and journal vouchers. Approves and tracks syndication settlements. Monitors NSF/UCF transactions, including SWMII batch processing and related exception items. Prepares month-end reports, handles returned wires, and customer communications (primarily related to repayments and line activity reports). Provides guidance to less experienced individuals in the role. Ability to work in a team environment and take ownership interest in your job along with a willingness to take direction from others are key to working successfully in this department due to daily deadlines and workloads. Ensures timely and accurate financial and general ledger record keeping.
20% of time: Identify, process, monitor, and balance wire and other payments to the Warehouse Line.
20% of time: Prepare and/or approve transactions for warehouse records.
10% of time: Investigate OFAC holds and inquiries, providing information to BSA and other banks as necessary
10% of time: Prepares or approves syndication entries, communicates with syndication banks, ensure syndication settlements balance and are completed timely
10% of time: Track, monitor, balance, and resolve differences for Flagstar Funding loan purchases on the Warehouse Line of Credit.
10% of time: Prepare and distribute daily reports and activity recaps.
10% of time: Monitor NSF / UCF incoming and SWMII transaction posting.
10% of time: Assists with monthly routines and other functions as required.
Job Responsibilities:
* 3+ years experience in an office environment and/or customer service oriented position
* 1+ year experience conducting numerical/financial analysis and preparing recommendations.
* Proficient with computers and technology, Microsoft Excel experience required.
* Excellent follow up and organizational skills
* Proactive and recognizes priorities, adjusting workflow appropriately
* Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to colleagues as needed
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and proven attention to detail
* Experience in an office environment, working with numbers, and bookkeeping / accounting entries beneficial.
* Demonstrated ability to nimbly transition through multiple tasks
* Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
* Knowledge of the mortgage industry, preferred.
