Job Summary
Receiving all paper closing packages and original collateral for Flagstar. Properly identifying, tracking, barcoding and prepping all documents for imaging is the function of this position. Reps review the note for originality and proper endorsement to ensure the loans have been properly endorsed to Flagstar. This is a critical review as our ability to subsequently endorse these notes is dependent on proper initial endorsement. Tracking of collateral (notes)and closing packages is essential to many Bank processes including Loan Review, HUD Review, FHLBI pledging, Agency pooling and Investor sales. Timely and accurate movement of these documents is critical to forward processes in the Bank. All must be done while meeting department production and quality standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Review and barcoding of collateral documents and closing packages
Gatekeeping functions
Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Completes all required compliance training. Maintains knowledge of and adhere to Flagstar's internal compliance policies and procedures. Takes responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies.
Job Requirements:
HS Diploma, GED or Foreign Equivalent
Basic understanding of mortgage documentation
Highattention to detail
Strong technical and computer skills
Organizational and time management skills
Ability to work in a production environment
