We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team of talented professionals.
As a Human Resources Generalist, you will provide the first point of service to all staff members and applicants regarding Human Resources matters. The Generalist is instrumental in the recruitment of staff members and all employment matters once hired. The Generalist is responsible for the entire employee population in the division(s) in which they work. Specific responsibilities are outlined as Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, HR Administration, Benefits, Workers Compensation and administration and documentation control.
To qualify for this position, you will need the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources with a minimum of 2 years Human Resources Generalist experience, Master’s Degree preferred.
- Must have basic knowledge of legal issues surrounding employment matters including but not limited to the ADAA, FMLA, OSHA Worker’s Compensation, ADEA, FLSA, EEO, NLRA and all other applicable regulations and standards.
- Experience in recruitment is required.
- Experience in all facets of employee relations is a must, employee and labor relations is preferred.
- Must be proficient in a variety of computer programs including MS Office and dedicated HRMS / HRIS software systems.
- Experience with ECI/Vibe software systems preferable.
- Must have excellent organizational, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- A current valid driver’s license with acceptable history is required.
- Additional requirements include a nonjudgmental approach that reflects cultural competency and sensitivity to the unique needs and diverse experiences of our staff members and the programs they represent.
- Must have the ability to engage and maintain relationships with staff members, the ability to develop collaborative relationships with other programs and the ability to assess and intervene within complex staffing systems.
- Must have the ability to remain calm during crisis situations.
