RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following: * Communicate with material management * Track the detail of daily department performance * SIC tracking * Locate pallets in Order Assembly (rework product) * Re-label or re-date product as needed * Drive lowboy or fill in on the line as needed * Perform periodic temperature, leaker and burst tank checks * Submit work requests * Train team members * Learn & specialize machinery and equipment * Fill in for breaks * Perform regular quality checks and drive improvement of quality/efficiency in the room * Make sure that all employees are following SOPs and safety rules * Verify that everything is put away at the end of the day * Verify the schedule and plan accordingly to make sure that all orders are met * Ensure product flow in and out of productions rooms * Manage staging of products for smooth transition * Manage product flow to maximize efficiencies * Identify, communicate and assist in identifying/resolving process deviations and other process related issues * Assist in data entry for overall department performance trending * Utilize Avantis work order system to communicate PIT and other trades issues * Understanding and working knowledge of systems, including (but not limited to) ERP, Portean, Accusort, etc * Order supplies as needed
QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have the ability to: * Read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos * Basic computer and data entry skills * Present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the organization. * Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. * Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. * Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form * Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
