The Production and Inventory Specialist enters daily production numbers into the system for all companies. Production entry includes but is not limited to: communicating with plant operations to understand production and produce product within i21, communicate with plant operations to understand inventory movements and track in i21, work with plant operations to streamline the process and be a liaison between CI and the plant to improve production/accounting communication.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Transfers, analyzes and understands data from paper formats into computer files or database systems.
- Administers inventory adjustments, transfers, and locations accurately. Researches and corrects errors, and implements continuous improvement to prevent reoccurrences that are timely and accurate.
- Reviews and analyzes daily inventory issues to ensure product availability and production goals are met.
- Maintain all inventory tracking systems - updated every morning and evening.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory database.
- Work closely with CI Manager, Production and Accounting to provide feedback to continuously streamline facility processes and inventory management.
- Effectively communicate information and respond to questions/suggestions from various levels within the company.
- Prepare reports such as inventory balance, etc.
- Analyze and summarize numerical information and critically examine for accuracy.
- Input and access inventory data through a computerized maintenance management information system. Utilize computer to troubleshoot records for inventory control.
- Perform administrative functions such as typing, filing, and maintaining detailed records.
- Checks the accuracy of computer printouts, reports, and calculations. Ensures that work is carried out to specification.
- Compile, classify, collate, and organize information. Maintains electronic, paper records and reports.
- Uses database programs to generate custom queries and reports.
- Cooperate with peers, managers, and operations personnel and act as a liaison between other employees and departments when it comes to physical inventory or parts and supplies.
- Takes physical measurements at multiple plants, which includes climbing ladders, walking catwalks, and working from heights.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer someone who has experience with a perpetual inventory.
- Three to five years of inventory management experience.
- Proficient knowledge of Internet Explorer, & MS Outlook; MS Excel and MS Word. Also ability to learn and master all company owned software packages (iRely, LoadMaster, Square 9, et al).
- Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Exhibits the ability to work well with others and maintain organization between cross-related departments.
- Displays the ability to multitask and handle multiple issues at the same time without stress.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent math and accounting skills.
- Ability to climb ladders, steps, catwalks and tolerate heights up to 225 feet.
- Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
