BA or BS in Psychology and/or ABA experience preferred

RBT’s Role and Job Description Summary:
The RBTs will be largely responsible for the implementation of the Functional Skills Assessment and Behavior Intervention Plans developed by the BAs. As such, they will be directly working with the clients on various skills building tasks described in their plan. They will also be observing and providing feedback to the staff’s engagement and implementation on these skill-building goals or behavioral modification plans.
RBTs are assigned to units. They would primarily work on their assigned units and work with whomever is residing there, although they may be called to assist with managing crisis or problematic client behaviors should an issue arise on another unit. RBTs will complete case transfers similar to the way BAs do. This is a very floor-intensive position.
Responsibilities:
Assist rehab staff in implementation of behavior protocols that are developed by the BA.
Assist in novel data collection, conducting simple assessments, making observations and documenting client behaviors and trends.
Provide relevant corrective feedback and praise, for both clients and staff as appropriate. Feedback for staff would be specifically related to their implementation of Behavior Protocols
Model appropriate, professional, and compassionate behavior for both staff and clients.
Help management collect data on staff performance and improve accountability for staff in relation to client engagement.
RBTs would be highly involved in increasing the staff’s engagement with the clients. They will assist management with:
ensuring client engagement schedules are being followed including therapy attendance
conduct daily observations on engagement and provide immediate feedback/praise when necessary
teach and model for staff when dealing with more difficult clients
assist in more specific community access goals and interact directly with clients in the community when they are resistant or are otherwise underperforming in meeting their goals
RBTs would work with the BAs with cases on their units and would have weekly meetings with the BAs as a whole as well as supervision from a BCBA. RBTs require 2 hours of face-to-face supervision per month with a BCBA (or possibly a BCaBA who has gone through the appropriate training/requirements to be able to provide supervision). One of the 2 hours can be group supervision.
RBTs would be responsible for responding to crisis situations during their shift and often responsible for managing and assessing the interventions of staff (e.g., NCI protocol).
While RBTs will primarily be working with BAs, they will also be expected to work well within the multidisciplinary team. They will also need to communicate and work collaboratively with the Unit Managers, Program Coordinators, and clinicians of various disciplines (e.g., Occupational Therapists, Psychotherapists, Speech Therapists, Recreation Therapists, Health Educators, Dietician, Physical Therapists, etc.) depending on the client’s programming.
RBTs would work with clients on community transportation goals (e.g cabbing, busing and walking with them) and would help clients in developing their own social networks in the community. They would be available to provide pre-teaching, goal-setting, and to provide feedback with the goal to significantly improve social skill sets and eventually increase their social networks outside of Eisenhower Center.
They would input Incident Reports for their units. Estimated 8-10 hours per week would be spent on data entry.
RBTs would handle client incentives and assist in troubleshooting issues with incentive protocols.
RBTs would work varied hours, highlighting their presence during B-shifts and weekends. There are a mix of RBT schedules as the idea is to have coverage on the campus so that an RBT is available if needed to assist managing crisis situations or difficult client behaviors. As such the following are potential options for work shifts:

3:30pm-12am
Work week:
Tuesday – Saturday
Sunday – Thursday
Note: Availability of these work shifts will vary depending on which shifts are vacant at time of hiring.
