Job summary
Come join the SPICE-Y team to build cross-cutting solutions used by hundreds of internal teams at Amazon that help our end selling partners (sellers, vendors, brand owners) grow and manager their business!
Join an organization that delivers solutions at true Amazon scale while also exhibiting technical fearlessness in pushing the boundaries of the currently capable. Our systems and services handle hundreds of clients across Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
A Technical Program Manager must exhibit high judgment and the ability to deal with ambiguity to move fast regardless of whether all the required data exists.
He or she must have outstanding problem solving and influencing capabilities while also having the personal touch to deftly navigate between product and program owners (the business) and engineering teams (tech), often in a highly ambiguous and challenging problem space.
TPMs must have the same design technical bar as their team and be comfortable discussion architecture and constraints without having engineers present to assist.
Finally, we seek leaders who have a bold vision with the initiative and the pragmatism for how to achieve it.
A day in the life
For a TPM at Amazon, no one day in the life can be described as typical. As Von Moltke noted, "the best plan does not survive the first encounter of the day." Part influencer, part strategizer, part motivator, part leader and part friend and ally.
No day resembles the other. Be prepared to move quickly and handle uncertainty. We value our people over our projects and work to harmonize the two. Amazonians love data and, equally, the debate that ensues when fully exploring a problem space.
