Job Title: Truck Driver - CDL-A endorsement 2nd shift 1-9pm local (within 100mi)
Primary Function: You will drive gasoline or diesel-powered tractor-trailer combination to transport and deliver products or other materials. Drive local routes within a 100-mile radius of the plant. Assist in loading and unloading the truck.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains truck log and driver log according to State and Federal regulations.
Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil and water and submits report indicating truck condition.
Maintains communication and dialogue with traffic coordinators regarding pickup and delivery instructions.
Assists in loading and unloading of truck.
Verifies Packing Slips and/or Bills of Lading to be sure they coincide with materials being delivered or picked up.
Ensures that all materials and/or containers are properly identified. If identification is absent, materials or load shall not be hauled.
Ensures that all freight is properly secured to eliminate the risk of damage during transit. Documents any signs of damage, potential damage or discrepancies. Refuses to transport any load not properly secured or packaged.
Drives truck to appropriate destinations in a timely manner.
Obtains or distributes appropriate documentation for materials picked up or dropped off.
Distributes signed Packing Slips or Bills of Lading to proper areas upon arriving back at Company.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), experience as a CDL driver preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Must be able to be certified for forklift.
The weight required to be lifted during a normal work day:
Up to 50 pounds - Frequently 34 – 66%
Personal protective equipment required:
Safety shoes with toe and metatarsal guards
Safety glasses with side shields (Z87 rated)
Earplugs
Must comply with the medical/physical requirements for a CDL license
