A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MORTGAGE SALES ASSISTANT
As a Mortgage Sales Assistant, you work with top producing Mortgage Lenders in order to help them with their clients, applications, and servicing requests with the bigger goal of increasing their mortgage production. Your work will lead to increased client experiences and quicker closings.
You enjoy the fast-paced work environment that is filled with a variety of tasks and deadlines. You follow up with clients, manage the client's loan origination process from approval to close, work alongside other Mortgage team members (Underwriters, Processing and Post Close), enter important data in system, organize marketing campaigns through mail and social media, attend networking events and more.
You learn how to assist each Mortgage Lender you support and professionally divide your time between them. You work out of multiple offices so that you can meet the Mortgage Lender in person.
Embracing change, and learning, is what you love about Mortgages. You understand and follow changes in lending regulations, including TRID and HMDA. You know the ins and outs of Portfolio, Secondary Market and other investor guidelines. If you see something that can be improved, you say something! All team members have a voice when there is a better way to do something.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MORTGAGE SALES ASSISTANT
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three years' experience working in a professional business environment
- Two years' experience in mortgage is preferred
- Sales experience is preferred
- Experience using Microsoft Office
- Registration with the national Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS), as created under the federal S.A.F.E. Act
If you would like to be a Mortgage Lender within the next five years, have excellent communication skills with a strong attention to detail. You are organized, driven and motivated by sales, but also like to work fast and think outside the box to solve problems, this might be the right job for you!
WORK SCHEDULE AND LOCATION
Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Overtime and/or hours outside office hours may be required during times of high volume.
