General Summary
The Inventory Control and Forecasting Analyst is responsible for assisting in monitoring, managing and maintaining the overall company inventory levels. Works under the general direction of the Supply Chain Manager; follows pre-established guidelines to meet expectations and exercises discretion and judgment on work priorities.

Principal Duties / Responsibilities
WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN INVENTORY CONTROL & FORECASTING ANALYST WHO WILL: * Monitor inventory levels and turn and identify trends * Review actual demand against the forecast and take appropriate action to correct forecasts when necessary. Communicate any changes to the forecasts promptly and effectively to the Supply Chain Manager * Determine key-drivers of forecasting errors and identify opportunities to improve forecast methodology and forecasting processes in the long term * Analyze sales and profitability data and p provide metrics reporting to upper management * Utilize data to advise on updates to product assortment * Ability to identify root cause problems and recommend effective solutions. * Create and deliver inventory and product reports * Ability to effectively manage time * Complete other duties as assigned * Work independently
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's Degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Finance/Accounting, Mathematics or similar degree path with a concentration on inventory and purchasing courses * Minimum of 3-5 years as an inventory planner, forecasting, and/or purchasing agent with at least 1 year as a supervisor * Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact with customers and vendors * Analytical skills and attention to detail * Excellent problem solving and organizational skills * Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment * Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency including proficiency using pivot tables and VLOOKUP * Periodic travel might be required
