General Summary
The Senior Retirement Analyst is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administration and compliance of the company's qualified (401k) and non-qualified retirement plans. This role will serve as the internal subject matter expert on systems, processes, and procedures to ensure the accurate, timely, and efficient delivery of the company's retirement plans.
Principal Duties / Responsibilities
- Manages qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, ensuring compliance with plan design, company policies, and internal controls,
- Serves as an expert resource to Human Resources and Company leadership on qualified and non-qualified plans and complex projects such as mergers, plan terminations, and acquisitions.
- Ensures compliance with ERISA, IRS, DOL, and other relevant laws and requirements.
- Leads RFP process in 2020 and subsequent vendor implementation.
- Manages third party vendor relationships.
- Monitors program administration effectiveness and works with internal and external stakeholders to design processes to improve efficiency.
- Manages the implementation of plan and administrative changes.
- Ensures resolution of complex issues and inquiries from employees, internal partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Oversees maintenance of plan materials and participant communications.
Requirements
Knowledge Required
- Minimum bachelor's degree in business, finance, HR or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience working with large scale retirement savings plans.
- Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations governing qualified and non-qualified retirement plans.
- Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook). Advanced Excel skills preferred.
Skills and abilities
- Non-qualified plan experience preferred.
- Financial acumen, analytical skills, and experience working with large amounts of data
- Ability to maintain and safeguard confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload and responsibilities
- Ability to successfully communicate with all organizational levels and external partners
- Ability to travel when required
