Description:
The primary purpose of your position is to work alongside the care team and supervise the healthcare activities of the facility during your tour of duty. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Summary of essential job functions:
Provide direct nursing care to residents and participate in the delivery of services to assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, hygiene, etc.).
Offer leadership and guidance to the Med Techs/Resident Aides ensuring that residents receive all services identified in their care plan in a timely manner and in accordance with resident’s wishes.
Assist clients in meeting their goals through assessment and monitoring of clients care needs and interaction with the interdisciplinary care team.
Assist the Director of Clinical Services in directing the day-to-day functions of the healthcare activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
Document in nurses’ notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the care provided for the resident, as well as the resident’s response to care.
Ensure that all healthcare service personnel comply with the procedures set forth in the policies and procedures, and are following their respective job descriptions.
Assist in developing methods for coordinating healthcare services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of care.
Interpret the department’s policies and procedures to personnel, residents, visitors, and government agencies as required.
Monitor healthcare procedures to ensure that supplies are used in an efficient manner to avoid waste.
Attend and participate in continuing educational programs designed to keep you abreast of changes in your profession, as well as to maintain your license on a current status.
Available hrs: 7am to 3:30pm
11pm to 7:30am
Plus every other weekend
Skills necessary:
Must be licensed as an LPN in the State of Michigan without any sanctions.
CPR Certified.
Must have experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility
Compassionate and empathetic personality.
Must work every other weekend and holidays.
