Job Description

• Summary of Duties:

  Performs scheduled and non-scheduled facilities maintenance and repairs on the center.

   Description of Duties:

  Key Areas of Responsibilities:

• Maintains the Center’s grounds and buildings as required in a safe manner.
• Uses all required PPE’s as required.
• Provides a routine preventative maintenance for all facilities, equipment, appliances, and vehicles on Center: Reports necessary changes to the Facilities Manager.  Reviews policies and procedures annually.  Completes preventative maintenance objectives in a timely, most cost-efficient method. 
• Works with Maintenance Supervisor in the area of pest control.
• Completes work orders as assigned. Ensures that work orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner, through the most cost-effective method.
• Monitors work areas and tools: Ensures that work area is always clean and well-organized.  Ensures that all equipment assigned to department is properly accounted for and maintained in good condition.
• Attends center meetings as required.
• Supports the CDSS initiatives: Develops and implements a productive Work-based Learning program to include the development of trainees’ employability and social skills.  Explores innovative ways to incorporate facilities maintenance into the trainees’ academic, CTT and leisure time learning.  Must be responsive to trainees’ conduct, abilities, and needs.

Required Skills

Education and Experience	HSD/GED, Minimum 2 years’ experience in the field of facilities/building maintenance.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations	Valid state driver’s license; CPR/First Aid certifications, OSHA 10
