Will you answer* GROUP/DIVISION KLA has manufacturing sites across the globe, including Belgium, China, Germany, Israel, Singapore and Milpitas (CA). The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation, and Quality, is responsible for manufacturing our leading-edge technology. We partner with our world-wide supply base and our design engineering teams to bring new products to market. The GOPS team is continuously working to build our products Better, Faster, Cheaper. RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: * Manage and support various Customs programs as needed (e.g. Assists, Duty Drawback, FTZ zone management, special Customs Duty Avoidance Programs such as Korea and Singapore Free Trade Agreement, VAT recovery) * Research local and regional trade regulations and rulings, determine regulatory or interpretive basis for classifications as required, and communicate with internal clients and external service providers. * Network analysis through data and logistics flows and costs to evaluate logistics trade solutions (FTZ, MPF programs) to drive cost and process efficiencies * Determine if local/regional export licensing is required with various governmental authorizing agencies and manage process * Manage regional customs brokers, regional recordkeeping and support local and regional customs requests for information; liaise with local Customs Authorities and other Governmental Agencies as required * Develop and maintain global metrics on duty and drawback activity, brokerage performance, and audit suppliers on their compliance programs and metrics they report to KLA; track any corrective actions to closure. * Act as the point of contact for KLA 3PL partners requiring routine import/export assistance from KLA QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications * Extensive experience in the international trade area is required * Experience in international logistics (transportation, import/export, tax, international banking issues, and contractual implications) * Subject matter expertise in relevant areas of trade compliance (HTS and ECCN classification, valuation, country of origin, regional trade agreements, etc.) is required * Experience with SAP automated import/export compliance software systems is helpful * Awareness of Harmonized System and export classification nomenclature. * Strong understanding of valuation is preferred * Proficient in English and one other Asian Language is required * Experience with China import/export processes is a plus * Being a licensed broker is a plus * Excellent PC / application skills: MS Excel, MS Outlook, Power Point, Visio, etc. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience: * Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in international logistics, export & CustomsIimport roles, or 12+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree * In depth knowledge of, and extensive experience with U.S. and Singapore trade-related requirements; experience with the trade-related regulatory regimes of Israel, China and Japan, Taiwan and Korea. * Prior experience within a trade compliance team in large, global tech companies a plus. * Proven track record of surpassing objectives and delivering exceptional results. * Excellent judgment in solving complex problems and developing solutions.
