Job Summary
Ensures work is planned and executed in accordance with company policies, standards, procedures, Standard Work Instructions (SWI's), training and Operator Qualification (OQ) program requirements. Also ensures the implementation of analytical, process, and systems support for the business unit. Works independently and identifies appropriate course of action to analyze and recommend solutions. Coordinates company OQ Contractor Program. Maintains oversight of procedures and regulations. Span of control = 0; this is an individual contributor role.
Key Accountabilities
• Ensures employees and contractors maintain OQ compliance requirements, including completing audits of contractor OQ programs and contractor communication/coordination
• Performs field inspection on contractors and employees for OQ program effectiveness
• Assists Codes and Standards and gas operations regarding audit and/or incident investigation
• Utilizes experience-based knowledge to serve as subject matter expert (SME) for technical training development and delivery and provide technical expertise to staff who are responsible for performing field construction, maintenance, and code compliance work
• Handles authoring, editing and maintaining OQ documentation
• Assists with development and maintenance of performance and compliance metrics
• Performs analysis and creates reports on training and OQ record data
• Serves as back-up trainer or OQ evaluator
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and five years of natural gas transmission, distribution, field service, or contractor experience
Other Qualifications
Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, business or other technical field
• Working knowledge of Maximo and SAP systems
• Working knowledge of energy policies, standards, and procedures
Other Requirements
• Valid driver’s license and meets company and Department of Transportation (DOT) driving and testing standards/requirements
• Scheduling and coordinating experience
• Working computer knowledge, including with Microsoft Office Suite
• Written and verbal communication skills
