Wire Cutter – Polystyrene Fabrication Job Summary:
A national manufacturer of polystyrene insulation products in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a wire cutter operator to join their team!
Wire Cutter – Polystyrene Fabrication Responsibilities:
- Set-up hot wire cutting grids and machine to cut expanded polystyrene to customer specification
- Wire, rewire or adjust existing hot wire grids to ensure they are to specification
- Verify product measurements throughout run to ensure it is within tolerance (to 32nd of an inch)
- Plan production of materials based on work orders
- Load trucks with finished product (pallet jacks or by hand)
Schedule:
2nd shift, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm (or until work is complete - must be flexible at the end of the shift for daily overtime)
3rd shift, 11:00 pm - 7:00 am (or until work is complete - must be flexible at the end of the shift for daily overtime)
Wire Cutter – Polystyrene Fabrication Qualifications:
- Must be able to measure to the 32nd of an inch using an English tape measure (inches)
- Must understand whether a measurement is within tolerance (fractions)
- High school diploma or GED required
- High degree of attention to detail/quality
- Excellent attendance is a must
- 1-2 years of machine set-up is preferred
