Analyze and improve the manufacturing process. Design the assembly line layouts for manufacturing facilities and develop the work instructions in order to reduce non-value-added operations, waste and accident risks. Develop the value stream mapping and new concepts for production process improvement. Develop 3D Layouts using AutoCAD and Factory CAD. Write work instructions and validate the work standards using WPlanner software. Perform pay-to-cost analysis for assembly line work force analysis. Improve safety, quality and space utilization on shop floor by designing hose racks and optimizing container sizes for heavy parts. Assist in evaluating the design and manufacturing process of current and new products physical build to achieve quality and safety standards. Work with suppliers and facilities engineers to set up tools, bridge cranes and racks, and supervise the implementation of new line design concepts. Work with material coordinators to optimize material flow and internal material movement using 5S and Six Sigma. Coordinate activities with manufacturing engineers and line operators for station set-up, and initiate subsequent improvement cycle by implementing Lean Principles.
