Considerable knowledge of vehicle assembly processes including body construction, paint operations, trim, chassis, and final assembly operations. Knowledge of PLC controls and Industrial Ethernet. Prior experience implementing Plant Floor Systems highly desirable. Ability to read and understand plant layouts. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Must have stong verbal and written communication skills. Fully proficient in English. | Experience Preferred: | | Prior experience in vehicle assembly vehicle scheduling activity and/or application. Knowledge of Spanish language a benefit Individual should be a self-starter, requiring a minimum of day-to-day supervision. Must to a strong team player. Must be willing to travel a minor amount, if required to complete cost studies and investigate plant conditions. Must be legally able to work in Canada and Mexico. | | Education Required: | | B.S./M.S. in Industrial or Electrical Engineering preferred. Computer Science degree wiht emphasis on Manufacturing Systems also acceptable. Significant applicable experience in lieu of degree will also be considered. |
