About the Role
Responsible for the quality of Advance Aftermarket products ( ex: SMART AUTO dongle) software and deployment for identified various customer requirements.
They are involved in performing automated and manual tests (Sanity test, Vehicle tests, Regression and system function tests) to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose and product requirement.
Some of the duties include analysis of software and systems, reporting and analyzing software failures, mitigate risk and prevent software issues, Involving and reporting in root cause analysis of field and inhouseissues.
Leading the system test activity for multiple customers in North America and providing testing status program managers.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, maintain and execute functional, regression, integration and end-to-end tests for ADVANCE AFTERMARKET products (ex: SMART AUTO dongle)
- Responsible for telematics on-board solutions for aftermarket telematics dongle devices
- Maintain and enhance automation frameworks and Manual test specification that can be used during software testing.
- Help define, improve and implement Quality Engineering (QE) best practices and represent QE at stand-ups, project meetings, etc.
- Lead the Test Management activities of the dongle and demonstrate the in-depth of Test Management skills on Product Test areas like SW, HW Homologation and Network certifications.
- Flexible and have a direct customer interaction for technical contents and good problem solver
- Involve in Test Automation framework with Innovation mindset to come up with a solution for onboard Smart Auto dongle product
- Helping customer demos and providing very good support to product managers and program managers onsite on Smart auto dongle product
- Expected to work in HCS office in the US, which also include domestic & International travels for various vehicle/software test activities based on project requirement.
- Demonstrating leadership qualities such as owning the responsibility of planned/ongoing various test activities without any assistance/supervision, providing timely solution and test reports in the appropriate format, Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies, etc.
- Technical and interpersonal skills: Strong knowledge on software and product testing techniques and process, Strong analytical and logical thinking capabilities, Broad understanding of the product, Effective communication, Ability to envision business solution, A test to break attitude, the ability to apply basic and fundamental knowledge, continue to learn, Planning and Time management skills and Domain expertise, etc.

What You Need
- Bachelor of Engineering or related discipline with 8 - 12 years' experience in software testing
- Experience developing test strategies, test plans, and test cases with strong domain knowledge
- Have excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Efficient in effort estimation, planning, prioritization and time management
- Sound knowledge on connectivity and telematics domains for in-car solutions
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction and a fast learner with good problem solving and analytical skills
What is Nice to Have
- Experience with automation frameworks design using Python, Java, etc added advantage
- Experience in CAN, UDS & J1939 protocol testing & simulation tools (CANoe) added advantage.
- Experience in using the Defect tracking tool - ex: JIRA, Project management tools ex: confluence.
- Experience with Android, Linux platform-based product testing.
- Experience in testing IoT solution bases products in the automotive domain.
- Experience in FOTA, Mobile Network operator tests especially with Telcom suppliers in the US and Canada
What Makes You Eligible
- Be willing to travel up to 10%, domestic and international travel for various vehicle and software testing activities.
- Be willing to work in an HCS office in the US
