Comau is looking for a full-time HR Generalist to support our continuous improvement efforts at our Novi manufacturing facility.

In this role the ideal candidate will act as a network and think innovatively while executing the following responsibilities:
* Support talent acquisition needs through reviewing, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of job applicants for open roles; Collaborate with hiring managers to understand the knowledge, skills, and abilities required of these openings.
* Facilitate and address employment related concerns, escalating complex or sensitive topics to the appropriate staff.
* Support the continuous improvement team with people development initiatives such as; implementation of suggestions, training needs, headcount reporting, and project support.
* Create, analyze, and present absenteeism reports for each department as well as organize action plans to address opportunities.
* Maintain and aid training needs such as; competency development tracking, expansion of a manufacturing training system, and facilitating training needs based on succession planning.
* Support day to day HR needs such as; compensation or benefits inquires, employee recognition support, KPI monitoring, and HRIS reports.
* Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
* Facilitate plant tours.
* Ensure knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
* Supports people development initiatives and participates in audit presentations as needed
* Other duties as required.
