The NVH Electronic Technician is responsible for reviewing the test plan with the engineer to understand what equipment is needed to acquire the data under the specified load case. This means knowing what front end data acquisition unit to use, what accelerometer and microphone to use and knowing where to place them on the vehicle or sub-system. The Technician will create set-up file for the test, go on the road or in the test cell (Dyno) and perform the test with/without the engineer. Then the Technician will save the data, process it, and analyze it with the engineer and create a report.
Basic Qualifications:
•Hands-on experience with instrumentation using sensors and/or transducers (like accelerometers and microphones)
•Experience setting up and conducting NVH tests
•Experience performing data acquisition and data processing using software similar to LMS test lab and head acoustics’ Artemis
•Good knowledge of digital signal processing
•Basic computer skills (MS Office), computer database structures, setting up tests on the computer
•Good communication skills
•Ability to work overtime on weekdays, weekends, or holidays
•Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications:
•Two or four-year college degree
•Technician certification
•Three years of testing and data acquisition experience
