Tubelite is looking for a skilled Cost Analyst professional to help support our financial strategy. This exciting opportunity will operate out of our corporate office in Walker, Michigan.
About our Cost Analyst role...
The Cost Analyst is responsible for managing the company's cost accounting system, perform cost and variance analyses, monthly closings, financial reporting. In addition, the person in this role will perform more complex financial analysis as assigned by supervisor.

Essential Functions
•Prepares accurate financial summary reports for management and corporate office, making recommendations where appropriate
•Tracking and analyzing work orders, product costs and variance
•Tracking and analyzing labor rates, headcount, overtime, and overall labor spend/utilization
•Collaborating with engineering group on NPI project, validating manufacturing BOMs, routings and Yields for accuracy
•Manages and tracks accurate inventory records, including monthly reconciliation, Assist in the planning of the annual physical inventory, calculate the physical to book adjustment
•Activate and cost roll new items within the MRP system
•Fixed Asset management, accounting, and depreciation
•Participating in ad-hoc projects as necessary
•Identifies areas for improvement in profitability, cost control and/or process changes that have a financial effect on the organization
•Maintain high proficiency level in company computer system to pull data from ERP system and other applications for analysis
•Serves as cost and data expert to others in the organization
•Maintains accurate documentation of internal controls for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance purposes
•Ensures accounting activities are in compliance with GAAP, state and federal regulations and corporate and business unit policy
•Apply Lean principles in own work performance and drive Lean applications in company operations
•Perform general accounting tasks as needed
•Other Duties as assigned
Position Requirements
•Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
•Minimum of 2 years of cost & accounting/finance experience
•Experience working in a manufacturing environment
•Demonstrated ability of strong analytical skills, including ability to work withlarge set of data
•Experience with ERP systems (JDE preferred)
•Intermedia to advanced excel skills
•CMA, CPA or MBA designation desirable
•Leadership experience a strong plus
