As a member of the Software Operations team, the IT Finance Intern is directly involved with the information technology software portfolio, including tasks fulfillment related to budgeting, vendor contracts, documentation and invoice coding. This position is involved with a range of IT software licensing support duties, including support ticket resolution and assisting the license renewal process, along with routing and processing of vendor communication via email and traditional mail. This role is also closely involved with the maintenance of the software asset management system, as well as other licensing documentation projects. The IT Finance Intern assists the Software Operations and Telecom teams with various other tasks required in the daily operation of the department.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- Enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program, required
Experience:
- Experience with general accounting principles, preferred
- Experience with software asset management, preferred
- Technical support or customer service industry experience, preferred
Software:
- Experience with the following products preferred:
• Microsoft Windows 10 operating system
• Microsoft Office 365/Office 2013/Office 2016 product suites
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills
- Capacity to work in a deadline-driven environment while handling multiple complex projects/tasks simultaneously with a focus on details
- Capable of successfully multi-tasking while working independently or within a group environment
- Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Capable of working well under pressure while dealing with unexpected problems in a professional manner
