Position Description:
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Trainer will conduct varies types of employee training.This role will be responsible for analyzing training needs, developing curriculum and conducting courses. The trainer will evaluate trainees for effectiveness of training and individual employee growth. The trainer will track and report metrics related to training goals. This position will also assist with other Human Resources functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Proactively assist in associate development by delivering approved training programs including
•New Hire Orientation and job skills training (CBT, OJT).
•Continually assess training needs for new and existing associates.
•Partner with Divisional leaders to understand gaps in company or individual performance and
•determine which are caused by lack of knowledge or ability.
•Using instructional design principles such as ADDIE, SAM, Rapid Development, etc., to design solutions for skills or competency gaps in performance.
•Suggest training solutions which may be classroom, job aide, OJT, coaching, on-line learning, etc.
•Source external skills training partners locally to fill performance gaps as indicated by gap analysis.
•Deliver internal training as needed by using a variety of methods.
•Determine measurements that are tied to training initiatives. Track post-training results against
•determined measurements.
•Complete records per Divisional practices, track and report on training activities.
•Manage logistics for internal and external training events.
•Work with Corporate training to source approved internal training and development programs.
•Assist with the use and implementation of Apprenticeship programs as needed.
•Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
