Develops and manages commercial loan accounts that meet established lending requirements and provide maximum profitability to the bank at minimum risk
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Interviews loan applicants. Collects and analyzes financial and related data to determine the general creditworthiness of the prospect and the merits of the specific loan requests. Establishes and negotiates where necessary, terms and conditions which credit will be granted, including the costs, repayment method, and schedule and collateral requirements. Is responsible for all documentation requirements in underwriting the credit decision. Monitors loan repayment activities and takes necessary action to collect from past-due accounts. Develops new business by networking with business professionals, contacting prospects and customers, cross-sells banks services. Must have transportation to meet with clients on or off site. Responsible for areas of compliance as it relates to Commercial Lending. Undertakes special projects relating to departmental services as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents including financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to make effective presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and analysis of variance. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define and solve intellectual and practical problems and deal with variety of variables in situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Required to register and maintain NMLS Unique Identifying Number.
