Primary Functions:
The Quality Manager would be a professional who understands the principles of product and service quality evaluation and control. This understanding of applied technologies includes, but is not limited to;
Development and operation of quality control systems.
Application and analysis of testing and inspection procedures.
Ability to use metrology and statistical methods to diagnose and correct improper quality control practices.
Understanding of human factors and motivation.
Familiarity with quality cost concepts and techniques.
Knowledge and ability to develop and administer management information systems.
Ability to audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
Understanding and familiarity with product quality.
Knowledge and familiarity with industry specifications/codes/standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide quality engineering support to necessary manufacturing operations.
Identify Quality issues and drive corrective actions to resolve them.
Working a manufacturing environment and apply QA and QC knowledge into manufacturing processes.
Develop and Monitor implementation of Quality Control procedures within the manufacturing plant
In depth knowledge of ISO9001:2015 act as management representative, and maintain all quality systems i.e.: corrective action, preventive action, document control and record maintenance.
Participate and or lead quality improvement efforts in designated areas with an ultimate goal of improving “zero defects” performance.
Support quality related process improvement and problem solving effort aiming to improve product quality
Implement root cause analysis and provide recommendations for corrective action.
Other management duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
BA/BS degree with emphasis in a manufacturing discipline/technical field (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, etc.), or equal job experience.
In depth knowledge of Quality systems such as PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, PSO, Six Sigma, TPS, APQP, ISIR, SPC, 8D, ISO9001 is required
Minimum three years’ experience with quality in a manufacturing environment.
